Shake, shimmy and groove to the soulful rhythms of West Africa, learning basics/getting back to basics!
All are welcome to these drop-in casual classes.
There will be a follow the leader warm up, learning traditional and creative movements and choreographies. Accompanied by live drumming with Simon Elwell (Djembe NZ, Kubatana) and Susanna Hay alternating weeks. Ending in a relaxing stretch so you can unwind and leave feeling great!
This is your chance to release tension from your week, have fun, connect to community and move your body in a supportive inclusive environment.
Jenny is also a dance movement therapist (DTAA prov. Prof) and a Dru Yoga instructor and brings some of these elements into her teaching.
