Get ready for a magical, fun filled, cracker of a Christmas concert. Stage is set, and rehearsals are under way for New Zealand’s biggest Christmas concert.
A nationwide talent search held earlier in the year attracted over 500 applications to audition and as usual uncovered a wealth of new talent, all eager to be part of what’s been billed as "the happiest night of the year".
The biggest ever line-up includes over 80 soloists, a multi-talented teenage Kids Crew, three D.I.V.A.S, two choirs of forty singers and a bevy of hot, new talent who, together with some our most popular entertainers and "outrageously" talented performers, will present a magical night of entertainment guaranteed to delight the thousands of concertgoers who flock to the show year after year.
This year's concerts will feature popular 'Sticky TV' hosts Drew Neemia, Erin Simpson and Sam Wallace; Fast Crew's Gemma Copas, the mighty voice of Tim Beveridge and Action Central kid's TV presenter, Robert Enari.
The Auckland concert will also feature award winning band Elemeno P; well-known Popera artist, Elizabeth Marvelly and of course, the "God-parents" of Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, Jackie Clarke, Tina Cross and Frankie Stevens.
Nik Carlson, of 'NZ Idol' fame, will feature in the Christchurch concert, along with the ever popular hosts, Simon Barnett & Gary McCormick; as well as some of Canterbury’s most exciting new young stars.
Since 1994 Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park has brought New Zealand families and friends together to celebrate Christmas at New Zealand’s largest annual free event. This year, Coca-Cola Christmas in The Park is supporting Surf Life Saving New Zealand - helping Kiwis have a safe summer at the beach.
