The Axemen, formed in 1983, released LPs and CDs on Flying Nun Records and their own Sleek Bott label in New Zealand, and Siltbreeze Records in USA. In 2009 the Axemen toured with Times New Viking, playing 26 shows across USA. Now, ahead of their 10-date December Australian tour, there's a rare opportunity to see them one night only in Lyttelton.
Their ever-changing lineup, which has included members of The Clean, Tall Dwarfs and The Terminals, for the Australian tour is original vocalist/guitarist Little Stevie McCabe, original drummer Stu Kawowski, Slav guitar connoisseur Dragan Stojanovic (an Axeman since 1985) and Will Daymond in his mourning of youth. As Axemen scanty town ride around, they'll be staying in either big cheap motels or on your couch, for beer und flinstones.
Joining Axemen will be The Transistors!
