Join the Friends of Maungawhau in a guided walk round Mt Eden to the summit. View the Friends' revegetation project and learn about the history of the maunga.
The guided walk will start from the old Tea Kiosk (former Langtons restaurant) near Mt Eden Road. We will proceed along tracks through the 10-year-old volunteer revegetation project on the western and southern slopes, and round the mountain to the summit.
Learn about the natural and cultural history of the maunga, and why we must protect its archaeological features and biodiversity.
This event is part of the Auckland Heritage Festival.
