This festive concert brings together one of New Zealand’s finest choirs, the magnificent Town Hall Organ, and one of our most exciting young emerging opera stars.
“The evening’s standout was Hadleigh Adams, a formidable bass-baritone from New Zealand who…deployed a robust, beautiful tone with both flexibility and power.” (San Francisco Chronicle)
The programme will appeal to a wide audience and will include favourite Christmas carols, including opportunities for the audience to join in the singing. Organist Timothy Noon will offer thrilling organ solos, and Musica Sacra will sing beautiful and inspiring Christmas music, including Vaughan Williams’ wonderful Fantasia on Christmas Carols, with leading Auckland cellist Cameron Stuart.
His Worship the Mayor of Auckland, Len Brown, will open the proceedings.
This annual concert has become a fixture in Auckland’s musical scene: don’t miss it!
