The 2015 Arohanui Hospice Awareness Week will take place during the last week in February with special media features, an open day, social media activity and a volunteer street collection. It is hoped that the week will give people the opportunity to learn something new about what services Arohanui Hospice offers and what it takes to continue to provide these services in our region.
Head to the inpatient unit at 1 Heretaunga Street on Saturday 28th between 11am and 2pm. Look out for our special pull-out in the Manawatu Standard (24th) and Tribune (25th). Or visit our street collectors who will be out and about on Friday 27th.
This year our volunteers will be collecting in Dannevirke, Feilding, Foxton, Levin, Marton, Otaki, Pahiatua, Palmerston North, Taihape and Woodville. If you are planning to head to the shops on the Friday then please stop in and see one of the street collectors who are working hard to raise the $2.3 million needed this year to cover core operating costs.
