Visiting 12 centres throughout New Zealand from Kerikeri to Invercargill, Swing into Spring is our most extensive tour of the season. This year, we are excited to announce our first ever collaboration with the Rodger Fox Big Band.

This long-running jazz institution, founded by the charismatic Rodger Fox, has been keeping audiences swinging and dancing for more than 40 years. Joining the band is the ‘real-deal’ Allen Vizzutti, a trumpet virtuoso lauded across the globe for his stunning musicianship, easy control and lyrical playing.

The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra is joined by 19 jazz musicians from the Rodger Fox Big Band to play a concert of new arrangements including Fanfare for the Common Man, The Meaning of the Blues, and excerpts from West Side Story. With New Zealand maestro Hamish McKeich conducting, expect to hear an incredible concert in what will be a seriously good night out.
