Why not come for a train ride on the oldest line in North Island, passing along the main SH1 street of Kawakawa to see the longest curved wooden bridge in the southern hemisphere?
Trains are running every day of the school Christmas and New Year Holidays finishing on Monday 6th February.
Trains depart Kawakawa Station: 10.45am, 12 noon. 1:15pm, 2:30pm. Please arrive in time to purchase tickets before boarding. Also departing Taumarere half an hour afterwards. Bikes are carried free.
Gabriel our steam engine will haul trains on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, with a vintage diesel engine hauling on other days. See our website for more information.
