Why not come for a train ride on the oldest line in North Island, passing along the main SH1 street of Kawakawa to see the longest curved wooden bridge in the southern hemisphere?

Trains are running every day of the school Christmas and New Year Holidays, except Christmas Day (to give our Volunteers time with their families).

Trains depart Kawakawa Station: 10.45am, 12 noon. 1.15pm, 2.30pm. Please arrive in time to purchase tickets before boarding.

Gabriel our steam engine will haul trains on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, with a vintage diesel engine hauling on other days. See our website for more information.

We look forward to welcoming you aboard and adding to your Christmas delights and memories!
