The Flipside Flashbacks are three local musical maestros and a savvy South African drummer serving YOU underground jazz rarebits from the womb of New Orleans to the post pubescence of Bebop New York...Scott Joplin, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Fletcher Henderson, Django Reinhardt, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis request the pleasure of your company for an afternoon of b-sides and asides as we narrate the back streets of African-Americas gift to world music.
Featuring the frenetic finger pickings of David “Django” Boston, the tub thumping tea-chested bass of Dan “Slam” Fulton, the serpentine saxophonic shivers of Anton “Lester” Wuts and the wonderful “oop bop sh’bam, a klook-a-mop” of Will “Wild Bill” McClure. They will be joined on stage by undercover divas whose voices will cosset your ears.
