The IFAC Handa New Zealand Singing School has been in existence for 33 years and has presented twenty seven, eleven day Schools in the first two weeks of January now every second year. The next one will be January 2017. This School attracts approx 70 – 80 students from all over NZ as well as Australia.
The 32 strong Faculty also come from NZ, as well as Australia, London, Sweden and Amsterdam, comprising specialist vocal tutors and professional accompanists.
The School specialises in the crossover from Classical to Music Theatre – the only School in the Southern Hemisphere that does this. It is very important for singers to be able to deliver performance programmes covering both genres as beautifully exampled by Sole 3 Mio.
The Concert to be performed on February 14th will showcase students who have attended the last School as well as several Schools in some cases. Their choice of song will cover both classical and music theatre thereby delivering the focus of the IFAC Handa N.Z. Singing School.
Grab a coffee and a Rush Munro's ice cream and chill for an afternoon of relaxing fun and good grooves.
This series is proudly sponsored by Rush Munro's and supported by Infinity Foundation, Eastern and Central Community Trust, First Light Foundation and Creative Communities Hastings. Hastings City Council is a core funder and the series is produced by Creative Hastings for Summer in the Parks.
