Are you an improviser wanting to bring truth to your characters and commit to creating strong emotions, physicality and presence on stage? Join veteran improviser/actor and filmmaker Ben Zolno for this all-new actors workout for improvisers.
Through a mixture of group exercises and practice scenes, Ben will dive into aspects of Meissner technique, and the work of Ivana Chubbuck. The class will finish with an open improv format designed for you to put these simple techniques into action!
Open to all improvisers and all levels of experience.
About the teacher:
Ben has studied under or performed for Miles Stroth, Charna Halpern, Dave Razowsky, T.J. Jagodowski, Armando Diaz, Susan Messing, Liz Allen, Peter Gwinn, Bob Dassie, John Lutz, Rob Mello, and Fred Willard, among other excellent mentors.
Spending most of his career as a director of film and stage, Ben focuses on bringing out intriguing, realistic characters with heart. His teaching is a combination of what he learned from improv, Meisner, and Ivana Chubbuck.
