Bring your family out for an evening of adventure. Explore the iconic Te Whiti Riser walking track in twilight and after dark. See the sun set over the harbour and return through stunning, spot-lit New Zealand bush. BYO torch and cash for food and facepaint!

There will be an event village at the base featuring a glowing forest and with music thanks to Atiawa Toa FM. Bring cash for White Ribbon New Zealand who will be offering glow-in-the-dark face painting and a sausage sizzle at the event village. Celebrate your adventure with a hot chocolate from House of Travel (gold coin donation with all proceeds going to White Ribbon). This is a waste minimisation event, so please bring your own drinkbottle, and keep cup if possible.

Start the walk up anytime from 6pm onwards. It's approximately an hour to the top at a moderate pace, but remember it may take longer as there's a lot of sights to see! Sunset is at 6.30, so you'll go up as the sun sets and come down at dusk/after nightfall. There are lights and decorations on trail, but you'll need your own torch!

We want you to be safe, so the last participants to get to the top of the trail will arrive there at 8.30pm. We expect all participants to be off the trail by 9.30pm, so be aware that if you start late you may not have time to reach the top.

There will be a lot of people, children, and lights, so please leave the fur-children behind - we encourage dogs to check out the Hikoi for HUHA on Sunday 13 October instead.

We'll be going ahead if it's a bit drizzly, but if a storm comes in this event will be postponed to the following weekend.
