Arts In the Ville

Helensville 3 day arts festival includes open studios and pop up galleries.

For the 5th year Helensville will be full of colour and creativity during Labour weekend.

It is held in various venues throughout the town, maps can be collected from the war memorial hall or downloaded from the website from mid-September.

Arts in the Ville celebrates more than 50 local artists. Meet artists in their studios, purchase work direct and visit one or all of the pop-up galleries.

During the weekend there will be a visual treasure hunt around the town. Various pieces on a musical theme will be hidden around town for visitors to spot. Entry forms for this hunt can be collected from the Helensville Arts Centre, which is in the basement of the War memorial hall. Completed forms will go into a draw, held on the Monday at 4pm, to win an original Jeff Thomson sculpture.

As part of Arts In the Ville, we will hold a Hat Walk on the Sunday at 4.30 at the War memorial hall. This event will showcase hats from Marmalade Hats who are also one of our open studios. As part of this event visitors are invited to wear your own hat and be part of a grand hat parade as a conclusion to the Hat Walk.
