Ashhurst Drama Group presents the laugh out loud comedy Haywire by ‘Rising Damp’ scriptwriter, Eric Chappell,by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd and New Zealand Play Bureau Ltd, which follows bookstore owner Alec’s tortuous attempts to organise an illicit rendezvous. All Alec wants is a naughty weekend away with his assistant Liz without his wife Maggie finding out.
What can go wrong? Everything! His family conspire against him – first his cantankerous Mother Phoebe turns up, then his son Jamie followed closely by his daughter Mandy. Oh and did we mention the new incontinent puppy!
