Join us at Featherston's War Memorial on Sunday 9 June at 2:00 pm as we commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the Battle of Messines during WW1.
Featherston commemorates this occasion due to the very close and cordial relationship between Featherston and the small Belgian town of Mesen (aka Messines), which were officially twinned on 11 November 1975 in recognition of the fact that many NZ soldiers who took part in the Battle of Messines had trained at Featherston Military Camp.
Those wishing to lay wreaths are requested to contact the RSA (prior to Sun 9 Jun 19) either by:
- Phoning us at 022 165 3521,
- Emailing us at fstnrsa@gmail.com, or
- Direct Messaging us via our Facebook page.
