The Levin Folk Music Club offers a monthly concert on the 2nd Friday monthly. Beginning the evening is a blackboard of local performers (all welcome) and a light supper. At approx 9pm, the special guests perform and this month the duo Black Eyed Susie is featured.
Ramon Oza and Susan Colien Reid met at a musicians jam night in 2006 and have been performing together ever since. Susan's celtic fiddle is a delight and compliments the amazing guitar skills of Ramon Oza.
Ramon is an R&B and Blues influenced Guitarist who has played professionally since he was a teenager, including touring with the Drifters. Susan Colien Reid brings her classical training and Irish roots into the mix and a life time of experience including playing a concerto written by Gary Brain to playing support for the Alabama Blind Boys. Together they write and produce songs and sounds ranging from Funky Jigs to blues ballads.
Doors open at 7pm and the cost is $10 public/$5 members. Membership is only half price from Feb-June 30th.
