My name is Shala and I am a new local children's storybook author. This book is about adventures that an old car has when he leaves Lyttleton with his best mate the family cat named Eric. Their friend an old barge called Billo sails them from Lyttleton Harbour across the Tasman Sea to eventually check out the Brisbane Story Bridge.

Along the way, they play golf with a rapping Kangaroo, eat far too much seafood, Get seasick, listen to live music and make friends with the new and interesting Australian wildlife on the trees and on the ground.

Jonesy's Adventures Down Under is the second story in the Jonesy Car series, about my old Nissan Sentra called Jonesy who by the way also resides in Christchurch.

The first one is titled 'The Real Life Adventures of Jonesy;- As it was real life... Or about 80% to fact (as an astute 5-year-old pointed out in a reading!)This one can be purchased at the NPD services stations with shops in the South Island.

So at the Opawa fair, we are in a green coloured tent at the front of the market it fits 12-15 'smaller' people. Readings will be every half hour from 10am - 2.30 pm.

Books will be available to purchase (Literally hot off the press) for $15 cash and each fair sale will have a mystery extra surprise and the free rock opera to upload.

There will be the Jonesy storybook characters, Jack the rapping Kangaroo, Eric the cat, Kako the Koloa. Get your face pained like these new friends!

Enjoy a cool party atmosphere and dancing.

With luck, my Mum (the most talented artist) will be here too from Australia and will be doing a few book readings on the day.

I really hope you can come along! Thank you for supporting local.

Toot Toot. Jonesy Car.
