This workshop is designed for children and parents to learn basic skills to keep themselves safe and build confidence.
*please note that places are strictly limited, and we will require you to prepay to confirm you place.
Entry off Wolfe Street.
It's important to build resilience with our children, so they have the confidence to deal with stressful situations.
The minimum age requirement is 6 years old plus.
As a martial arts instructor I was devastated when a friends 10 year old son took his life because of bullying.
Feeling helpless I wanted to do something so I have created a class designed to keep children safe and give them confidence.
We specially designed mannequins to assist with learning.
Your child will learn the following:
- how our fight or flight/ freeze response affects us
- a protective non confrontational stance
- some tips and tricks to deescalate a situation
- use of the palm to strike the chin
- a combination of attack and defense move
- and much more,,,,
Please note that a parent will need to attend and participate.
The cost is $20 per child.
You will need to message us and we will reply with a bank account as you will need prepay to confirm your attendance.
Will need to wear comfortable clothing
What to bring:
- backpack school bag or similar
- water bottle
