About Contra: Contra is called and danced in long lines. You swap partners progressively and dance with everyone in the opposite line. Dances are made up of 6 - 12 figures eg. right hand star, do-si-do, ladie's chain, allemande. Footwork is easy and at a walking pace. No special dance ability required. You meet everyone and it’s massive fun!! Bring something for supper. Coffee and tea are provided.
