Channel your young person's passion for gaming into a rewarding and inspiring educational experience. This exciting new programme engages creative young minds and encourages kids to develop their digital literacy, building a solid foundation for future learning. Over the course of ten sessions youngsters will learn how to design and develop digital games from concept to publication in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Throughout the term kids will be introduced to a range of game development processes including:
- Basic Visual Coding using Construct 2.
- Pixel Art and Animation
- Level Design
- Gameplay testing
- Shader Effects
- Music and Sound
- User Interface Creation
- Game Release Process
The students will have the opportunity to show their work-in-progress games at Armageddon Auckland on October 26-27.
Kids Game Dev will have a stand there with demo computers showcasing past student games.
