About the Presenter - Garth Castle:
Positioning himself as an Emotional Wellness Thought Leader, Garth’s aim is to be a positive disruptor within the sector. Garth’s purpose statement is… ‘enabling people to flourish through living a healthy emotional life’, which he believes can be attained by embracing your emotional individuality. To support this, Garth has set a personal goal… ‘to expand the Emotional Wellness of 1 Million Individuals by 2030 - starting with Kiwis’.

Garth’s interest in emotional wellness evolved from the lessons of his own journey of emotional self-realisation. He wondered why certain situations triggered emotions within himself, which usually had a negative impact on him to function. Through wanting to change the repetitive emotional cycle around specific situations, Garth created his coaching model 'Castle’s Coaching Model for EQ Self-Realisation', which is endorsed by Clinical Psychologist Dr Matt Shepherd. By applying the art of storytelling, Garth now enjoys sharing his journey of emotional self-realisation, which he is still on, to support individuals to expand their state of emotional wellness. Garth’s delivery style of storytelling, combined with his practical, positive and engaging personality, ensures that his content truly connects with his audience.

Garth is a published author of 'Bite Size Chunks to Success – Controlling Stress', endorsed by Sir Stephen Tindall, and is currently writing his second book on the topic of emotional wellness. He is a certified International Coaching Federation Transformative Coach. As an entrepreneur, he has developed several business ventures from conception through to commercialisation. He has a diverse professional background holding Learning & Development (20+ years), Operations Management, HR, BDM and Account Manager roles across different sectors including retail, finance and social services. Due to Garth's book, professional experience and business ventures, he has featured in several media articles both in NZ and Australia including appearing on TVNZ’s Good Morning Show.

How ‘A Coffee with Garth’ was Born:
The café scene has become major part of peoples’ lifestyle. For individuals, it is an extension of their living room where they meet with friends and family to catch up over coffee, and for business, it has become a popular venue for meetings. A café is an environment that creates an atmosphere which is enjoyable, relaxed, informal and non-threatening. Therefore, individuals feel comfortable and safe to open-up, resulting in constructive and positive communication and interaction. Since Garth is a regular patron of cafés, he realised it would be fantastic to replicate this atmosphere into his courses and coaching… and ‘A Coffee with Garth’ was born!
