Develop practical skills to use in the film and television industry, and get ready to build your overall confidence and self-esteem as an actor with industry professional Torum Heng from Barefoot Casting!
This course will teach you to:
- Communicate and interpret acting concepts
- Develop critical analysis skills
- Recognise and evaluate acting forms
- Experience best professional practices in film and TV
- Meet film and TV industry professionals
You'll practice auditioning a TV ad and drama script on camera. Parents are invited to watch the director’s picks of their children's TV drama scenes in the last hour of the course.
Tutor Torum Heng is a professional casting agent with premiere casting agency Barefoot Casting. Barefoot’s credits include the feature films Mahana, The Dark Horse and The Most Fun You Can Have Dying; the TV shows Filthy Rich, Camp; and numerous TV commericals worldwide. Torum has done casting for Shortland Street and is also an experienced actor who has appeared in over 30 professional theatre productions. She is a director and an award-winning comedy writer for The Project and 7 Days. Torum is a graduate of The Actor’s Program and NASDA.
Ham or vegetarian lunchboxes ($10 per day) can be ordered when you pay for the course or pre-ordered each morning.
