Meantime if you have not heard of ETHNO (and most people have not) then check what happened right here in West Auckland earlier this year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mgj54cDXuWs
I have had a film 'up my sleeve' for many years, waiting for the right time to show it, and that time has come.

The film is '1 Giant Leap' some of you will have heard the soundtrack when the CD was brought out but very few people have seen the film, I rate it as one of the most important pieces of work ever produced by filmmakers/musicians, Duncan Bridgeman and Jamie Catto. The idea of the film is wonderful, Duncan and Jamie laid down some backing/beat tracks and then set off around the world finding other musicians to add to the soundtracks, playing with people from all over the globe, people who will never meet up in reality but creating the most wonderful mix of instruments and musical brilliance. They travelled for 7 months through all 5 continents, and recorded in over 50 locations to create the most inspiring film and album they could imagine. Their mission was not only to gather insights on the huge universal themes of life from the most inspiring and illuminating people they could find, but also to seek out the cream of the world's musicians and compose immense multi-layered music with them. It features contributions from Dennis Hopper, Kurt Vonnegut, Michael Stipe, Robbie Williams, Edi Reader, Tom Robbins, Brian Eno, Carlos Santana, Baaba Maal, Speech, Asha Bhosle, Neneh Cherry, Anita Roddick, Michael Franti, Zap Mama, and other artists and authors. The band's theme for the project is "Unity Through Diversity"

Tickets are $14 / $12 Seniors and Students, all profits go to ETHNO 2020
