Who was Jules Verne? Ground breaking novelist? Prolific playwright? Technological prophet?

Join world famous investigative journalist and fearless world traveller, Nellie Bly as she interviews the Father of Science Fiction. Together, they will revisit the past and journey into the future in a fabulous interactive steampunk adventure. Let your imagination fly into a Steampunk world where anything is possible.

Nellie Bly was a woman before her time when in 1887 she became a world famous female investigative reporter working for the New York World newspaper. Two escapades launched her to worldwide fame. The first was her blistering exposé of the Blackwell’s Island Lunatic Asylum for Women in New York. In 1889 Nellie read “Around the World in Eighty Days” by Jules Verne. She set out to see if a woman could complete the journey under that time limit but you will have to see the show for the outcome of that one.

On her journey, Nellie did meet up briefly with Jules Verne and his wife Honorine. Nellie wished there had been time for a full interview with Jules. So when she enters the Steampunk world in the future she whisks the unwitting Jules Verne aboard her Dirigible and his life story evolves during the journey. The audience find themselves passengers thrust back in time on the Dirigible in a fabulous interactive Steampunk adventure full of Steampunk imagery, costumes and symbols.

Come with us and let your imaginations fly.
