Are you missing Game of Thrones? Never seen it? GREAT! TV's most epic story has come to a close on our small screens but a similar world is available for your pleasure every Friday in July at the Refinery ArtSpace. The People's Republic of Improv (Wynasty, Downton Uppity and Nelsablanca) is back to make you laugh but this time with the Gameshow of Thrones! With Westeros-like houses all based in areas of Nelson, come meet House Boulder, House Monaco and the Woodlings and you choose who sits on the throne and... who dies. Betrayal, strategy, magic and a host of complicated characters await for you, and to prove that it's all made up on the spot... the storyline will be chosen through the audience selecting random balls from a Bingo rotary set. It's a game show! Classy.
Did you watch all 8 years of Game of Thrones just to be shocked and disappointed at its ending? Don't worry, our story will only indulge you for 4 weeks and will hopefully have a better ending. *A better ending is not necessarily guaranteed.*
The saga continues each week with a recap at the start of each episode.
