Welcome to our guest musician: Sonia Wilson. Sonia is a now-NZ-based Franco-American singer, songwriter and musician. Raised in Paris, France, by two American parents and a member of both gospel and world music a capella choirs from a young age, Sonia infuses into her music a wide variety of languages, colours and cultures: from the streets of Paris through Kenyan savannah to remote villages in the Himalayas and all the way to Cafe One2One.

Music has afforded Sonia the opportunity to travel all around the world. She is currently a guitarist in the 10-guitar Gitbox Rebellion group, lead and harmony singer with various local bands including Chris Priestley's "Unsung Heroes" and a core team member of the Seattle-based Tiny Orchestral Moments international music ensemble.

Five Word Challenge: Employ the five words - Friend - Te Whenua - Space - Message - Overwhelm in a short piece of writing < 50 words all up and place in the Red Box of Mystery for randomly-awarded book prizes & chocolate bars. Plus, scoop up fliers on lit events & competitions.

Inside.out thanks Chris Priestley and the team at Cafe One2One, and the fine people at the NZ Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc) Te Puni Kaituhi O Aotearoa Auckland Branch, for their support of this open mic writing event in Tamaki Makaurau .https://authors.org.nz/
