ANZ ACBS is excited to announce registration for our 2-day skills intensive workshop in Ōtepoti Dunedin. This is an opportunity for anyone with an intermediate or advanced knowledge of ACT to upskill or get a refresher on maximising the benefits of using the Hexaflex in practice.

Our highly experienced trainers, Giselle Bahr, Ben Sedley, and Kathryn Whitehead, will help participants use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with more precision, flexibility, heart and cultural awareness in the clinical room.

The training includes clinical application of Relational Frame Theory, improving clients’ selfing abilities and reconnecting with what it’s like to be a client. The workshop will involve a mixture of didactic teaching, demonstrations, experiential exercises, role-plays, real-plays and self-reflection.

The workshop takes place at the Hunter Centre, corner of Frederick and Great King Streets, which is a welcoming and accessible space as well as a convenient location near plenty of accommodation options and easy parking.

We are also excited to announce opportunities to connect with participants and build relationships within the ANZ ACBS community. After Saturday’s session, participants are warmly invited to join Sara Boucher (ANZ ACBS New Zealand representative) and Claire Turner (ANZ ACBS Student representative) on an art walk highlighting one of the many reasons to visit our “corner of the harbour”. Following the walk, those interested may like to join us for a family-style Italian meal at Etrusco ($35 pp). The restaurant is happy to accommodate all dietary requirements.

The cost to attend:

ANZ ACBS members: A$480.70
Non-members: A$578.59
Student / Hardship ANZ ACBS members: A$385.00
Student / Hardship non-members: A$480.41

All prices are listed in Australian dollars for tax purposes of our multi-national organisation.

We also have two registration scholarships available – the deadline to apply is Monday, 30 September.
