In business there are deadlines and big decisions that need to be made – often fast. There is a real synergy with what happens in the business world to the world of sport. In the elite netball world things are moving at speed every day. Athletes and coaches are being placed under the microscope on a daily basis by media and online forums.
How do we build resilience in ourselves/players/employees so that we can respond well under pressure? How do we motivate ourselves/players/staff to perform at their best at all times? Marianne will discuss these as well as some of the key skills which have helped her turn around the Tactix - which sat at the bottom of the table for most of the 10 year history of the ANZ netball competition prior to her taking the reigns in 2017.
Marianne Delaney-Hoshek, Head Coach of the Good Oil Tactix- has been with the team for five years - two years as assistant and three as Head Coach. Prior to that she spent three years at the Central Pulse as assistant. She has coached NZ Secondary schools, NZ ’A’ and was a second assistant for the Silver Ferns in last year’s Quad series.
