The Fiordland Arts Society is delighted to host its 38th annual multi media art exhibition, at Labour Weekend (25-28 October, 2019), in the Fiordland Community Events Centre, 20-22 Luxmore Drive, Te Anau.
The exhibition will feature unique and thought provoking work by Michele Beevors, a sculptor from Dunedin; as well as wonderful creations by the COOTS group of fibre artists from Central Otago. In addition to these guest artists, the exhibition will include: the beautiful art of Caley Hall (honorary member of the society); plus the work of many other artists from Fiordland, Southland and further away.
The Te Anau Patchwork Group will also have a display of their wildly colourful creations. The art medium on display will include everything from fabric, fibre metals and wood to ceramic, glass paint and ink...
Instead of an opening night, this exhibition will hold a special afternoon tea (with food and beverages supplied) for the Public to enjoy on the afternoon of Sat 26 Oct., between 2 – 4pm. The afternoon will begin with brief talks by the guest artist and representative for the guest group, followed by live music entertainment.
