Nestled - An Exhibition by Melissa Boardman

Introducing Melissa Boardman’s first exhibition - a series of gouache illustrations depicting native birds nestled amongst fauna native to the Wellington region. ‘Nestled’ is a celebration of the safety Zealandia Ecosanctuary provides for our native flora and fauna, within the safety of Zealandia’s predator proof fence nature can thrive, and plant and wildlife species alike can have a chance to grow their populations.

Melissa is a Wellington based Illustrator, Zealandia volunteer and regular visitor, she is hugely inspired by the birdlife of New Zealand and creates a range of illustrated goods celebrating our wonderful birds.

Melissa will be hosting a ‘Meet the Artist’ day and Pop Up Shop on the 1st of September, a unique opportunity to chat with the artist and shop her range of illustrated goods, with 35% of sales on the day going directly to Zealandia.
