Here to Help- CARE & CURE.
Brain Tumours affect all ages. Having a brain tumour of any type, whether benign or cancerous, is frightening. Our mission is to CARE for brain tumour patients and their whanau, and to help find a CURE.

The New Zealand Brain Tumour Trust supports patients and their whanau from the time of diagnosis. "Trust Tautoko" provides knowledgeable caring people embedded within the health system, familiar with the bewildering array of appointments, tests, processes and therapies that happen along the way. They liaise, guide and support families through this journey.

Regular “Coffee Sessions” with people who know what it’s like to have a brain tumour are being arranged. There should always a friendly chat, exchange of stories, or a bit of inspiration. Starting in Dunedin this September, we aim to provide these and more services nationwide by 2022.

In the competitive environment of medical research funding, The NZ Brain Tumour Trust will support internationally recognised medical researchers in New Zealand to directly advance the diagnosis, management and treatment of brain tumours. Clinical trials with the latest in brain tumour chemotherapies will be actively sought and encouraged to include New Zealand patients.

Please join us to celebrate the launch of the newly established New Zealand Brain Tumour Trust, this coming Black Friday, 13 September , 2019 at the Hutton Theatre Otago Museum, Dunedin. The Minister for Health, the honourable Dr David Clark will declare the Trust operational.
We have fabulous raffle prizes and five prizes will be drawn at the Trust launch evening. Tickets are $10 each or 12 for $100.

Author Sai Yoganathan will present her new cookbook- A Kitchen Well-Travelled- which is dedicated to her father who died of a brain tumour. Proceeds from the sales of the cookbook will go to the New Zealand Brain Tumour Trust endeavours. Its a modern cookbook filled with recipes inspired by a variety of different cultures using fresh local NZ ingredients. A beautiful gift for Christmas!
