Few are not familiar with the New Zealand String Quartet – for more than 30 years the NZSQ have been this countries’ leading professional string quartet, playing hundreds of concerts here and overseas, teaching several generations of players and building up an impressive collection of albums.
As patrons of Chamber Music Whanganui since 2017, they will open the 2019 concert series with a programme of music by Haydn, Janacek, Beethoven and a short piece by rising NZ composer, Natalie Hunt, described by the quartet as “cute and funny”.

Full Subscription (4 pre-paid tickets) $95
This gives you pre-paid entry for 4 seats at any concert or event with any further seats at the discount price of $20. Your membership card will have 4 spaces for stamping when you attend concerts – this is instead of actual tickets.
General Subscription (membership discount at any concert) $30. All seats $20 on presentation of a membership card.
