Picture framing is very expensive simply because it is very labour intensive. This practical one-day course gives you a day using professional equipment, with the idea that you can subsequently hire the gear to make your own frames.
Class size is restricted to just 4, to enable students to get a full hands-on experience. Equipment that will be used includes the Morso guillotine, Molgra underpinned and Keencut matte cutter.
All students will make at least two small / medium frames during the day. The workshop fee includes $175 including materials such as moulding, quality matte board, archival backing, tapes, fittings, wire and glass. Additional materials are available for purchase if you want to make large frames.
Make two frames and the course has paid for itself. Talk to John or see the website for more details.
