Rueda In the Park - Latin Dance

Hello everyone, Kia Ora Whanau, hola a todos!...
Welcome to Rueda in the Park! for the 1st time in Nelson!

NelsonSon has decided to create another opportunity to gather and practice our dance moves this summer!

We are a group of enthusiastic Cuban Casino and Rueda dancers (also fans of other Latin Dance styles) who want to meet to practice and socialize in Nelson, New Zealand.

Free entry:
We are going to meet at 1903 Square - Top of Trafalgar St - One or two Sundays per Month from November 2019 (check dates below or in the poster).

Even thought this is a worldwide movement about Cuban Styles, all Latin dance fans are welcome; all ages, all skills and all styles. We will also play a bit of Bachata, Cha cha cha, Kizomba, Merengue and other Latin music.

Our event is mainly for "dancers"; at the same time this is a event for the whole community. You can join any time, but be mindful that the more experienced you are, the more you can get out of it. Just be respectful with other dancers ad their space.

Come along and have a dance or two with the dancing community!

Important notes:
- We will probably go for an Ice cream to Penguino Ice Cream Cafe afterwards, to catch up and chill.
- The stage is undercover so we don’t (usually!) get wet if it rains and we can dance all year round.
- Sometime there will be an event happening at 1903 Square, so keep an eye in the discussion of this event for updates!
- Rueda dancers: we ask that you only join in the ruedas if you have done it before and know at least the basic moves and a few variations. Unfortunately, it only takes one person that doesn’t know what they are doing to cause a whole Rueda to breakdown.
