We look at the present through a rear-view mirror. We march backwards into the future.
Our futures are always experienced and frequently determined by a past that few of us fully acknowledge or understand.
I see a culture trying to cure itself, rejecting linear material values, there’s an impulse to return to what’s felt – what’s essential, what’s archaic - when you tease apart these primordial impulses, at the centre is the desire to return to a world of magical empowerment of feeling.
Artist is Shaman and art as spiritual technology.
Work embedded with esoteric spiritual concepts leads to direct educational visionary experience. The more we look at things like consciousness and spirituality through the lens of reductionist scientism, the more we’ll never understand them.
The key now is, and always has been a world of interconnected narrative far beyond our wildest comprehension.
Art can help us experience this truth.
