SUB Football is 7-a-side soccer with a twist! It's fun and friendly social football for everyone aged 14 and up, from football-fanatics to beginners.
Fast, Fun and Friendly Football:
You can play with less stress with SUB Football. We have a no-force policy so you can play the beautiful game without worrying about pushing and overly aggressive play. Our referees are trained to encourage a free-flowing and friendly match.
What: Mixed and Men's leagues, 10 week competition.
All matches are played under lights at Auckland Grammar turf over the winter months. The kick-off time for your team varies according to the weekly draw.
Mixed (Co-ed) & Men's 7-A-Side Competitions:
Both mixed and men's teams are for any player aged 14 and above. Games are graded so you'll play against teams of a similar skill level.
Mixed teams are allowed a maximum of 4 male players on the field at once (3 outfield players and a goalkeeper). There is no limit to the number of female players on the field.
The typical team setup is:
- 3 female and 3 male outfield players, plus 1 goalkeeper
- Any number of substitutes (unlimited rolling substitutes are allowed).
Unique Goal-Scoring: You'll love scoring points in SUB Football! As well as goals, you can win points each time you strike the SUB Football boards on either side of the goal. This opens up the game to plenty more tactics, and rewards teams looking to score. No more 0-0 draws!
