If Glorafilia and Renegade Fighter were the soundtrack to your summer 20 years ago, then hold on to your baggy pants, ZED are back! The four-piece NZ band, who spawned a massive 10 Top 40 hits from 1999 – 2005, are playing an exclusive series of summer shows to celebrate 20 years of Silencer. Northland has two chances to see them play live, at The Butter Factory in Whangarei on Friday 27 December and The Duke Tavern, Russell on Saturday 28 December.

Zed sent fans into a frenzy in 2000 when their album debuted at number one on the Official New Zealand Top 40 Albums chart, knocking Robbie Williams from the top spot, quickly achieving triple platinum status and creating six hit singles. Their most celebrated singles ‘Renegade Fighter’ was the number one song in New Zealand for the year 2000. In 2001, ‘Silencer’ earned the band three wins at the New Zealand Music Awards including 'Album of the Year', 'Top Group', and 'Top Male Vocalist'.

Support at both shows will be from DEAD FAVOURS. This band are a growing force to be reckoned with, performing scorching live sets at several major festivals. Featuring vocalist Jared Wrennall (previously the drummer for Grammy Award-nominated punk band Steriogram) they have just come off a sell-out tour with Villainy and their debut album released this year was co-produced by SHIHAD’s Tom Larkin. This bands star is on the rise, don’t miss them in Northland this summer!

Tickets to ZED with DEAD FAVOURS are only $49 + Booking fee and go on sale 7pm, Wednesday 27 November via Eventfinda. Capacity is very limited in both venue so be quick as this event will sell out!
