You're invited to attend a presentation in Palmerston North with guest speaker, Ruth Monk, recipient of the Gillespie Postgraduate Scholarship. As part of our Brain Awareness Month series, this is an opportunity to learn more about the many wonders and marvels of the human brain.
Ruth Monk was awarded the Neurological Foundation Gillespie Postgraduate Scholarship in 2015. They will be discussing their research into Huntington's disease specifically creating a model of the disease using patient skin cells. The disease model will hopefully further the understanding to the underlying mechanisms and cell death involved in this disorder.
