Western Australia's only international party icon Tomás Ford brings his hilariously hyperactive Crap Music Rave Party to Wellington for two special nights at Te Auaha.
He’s the world’s most hyperactive DJ, spinning the songs you love to hate as he lipsynchs words he doesn’t know, projects hand-drawn videos, serves up the finest hi-vis fashion, flashes Bunnings-bought floodlights, dons discount shop costumes and generally works overtime to be the biggest idiot in the room.
He lives for playing your requests! Write them down on the cardboard onstage or post 'em on the facebook event wall - if they're crap enough, he'll drop them like the boombastic party weapons that they aren't.
Not sure what to request? Here's some ideas to get you started: The Pussycat Dolls, 2 Unlimited, Fine Young Cannibals, Jennifer Paige's "Crush", Village People, 5ive, C & C Music Factory, Rogue Traders, Slice Of Heaven, M People, Bob The Builder covers of pop songs, Wham!, dubstep remixes of Beatles songs, "A Star Is Born" Soundtrack (any version), Backstreet Boys, Mel C, Mel B, Mel & Kim, Melanie of "I've got a Brand New Pair Of Rollerskates..." fame, Gangnam Style, Limp Bizkit, Boney M, Hannah Montana, Gwyneth Paltrow's singing career... the possibilities are endless, as long as we can dance or shout-sing along with it, it's happening.
Tomás fell in love with Te Auaha's bar space while DJ'ing for kids at last years' Cubadupa. All year, he's been scheming about how to turn it into a late night discotheque beyond compare. Expect hand-drawn projections, terrible decorations and special surprises Ford is dreaming up for these shows only.
Tickets are strictly limited and will sell out, so grab your mates and book now!
