A 3-hour workshop designed to bring you maximum ease + wellbeing this summer.

Is your digestion a little unhappy at this time of year?
Are you prone to feelings of worry?
Do your thighs and hips feel tense and tight?

If you answered YES to any of the above, this workshop is definitely for you!

And here’s why..

According to the Daoist traditions and the 5 Elements Theory, we are born with energy systems that reflect the 5 elements in Nature (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water & Wood). Each of the 5 Elements governs an aspect of our physiology and our psychology. When the element is in balance, the corresponding energy systems are also in balance, and there is a general sense of ease and wellbeing in the body-mind.

The late summer season is closely connected to the Element of Earth, and the energy systems of the stomach and spleen. As we move away from the Summer Equinox, these energy systems tend to come out of balance leading to tightness in the hips and the legs, more feelings of worry and unhappy digestion.

This 3-hour workshop will empower you with the necessary knowledge and tools to harmonise your earth element for more ease + wellbeing this summer.

Learn about:
- The Daoist view of the world
- Yin & Yang Meridians
- Stomach Meridian
- Spleen Meridian
- 5 Element Theory
- Physiological functions of the Summer Element
- The role of emotions on the Summer Element
- Fascia & the Summer Element
- Acupressure points for Summer Element
- Muscle groups that correlate with Summer Element
- Meridian pathways for Summer Element
- Yoga poses that stimulate and activate Summer Element
- Causes for imbalance in Summer
- Foods, colours and lifestyle modifications that harmonise.
- Meridian clock for Summer Element

We’ll put all the newly acquired knowledge into practice with a sequence of Yin poses, myofascial release techniques and tapping practices to balance out the Spring Element, followed by a 30-minute Yoga Nidra relaxation practice that will take you even deeper into a state of ease and wellbeing. There will be essential oils, handouts, tips and tools for self-care, as well as herbal tea and bliss balls to enjoy.

The talk will be quite brief and very informative. The bulk of the content will be delivered through the experiential practices of tapping, myofascial release, yin yoga postures and guided relaxation.
