Vie di Romans and Fattoria Mancini are absolute legends but the news hasn't really hit our shores yet.
We’ve got the importer: Alberto Cenci, hosting this amazing tasting filled with Italian delicacies. He has personally chosen 6 wines that will best show off these two estates.
To start off with we shall compare the Vie Di Romans 'Pierre' and 'Vieris' Sauvignon Blancs, move on to their 'Dessimis' Pinot Grigio and their Chardonnay, then finish with the Mancini 'Focara' Pinot Noir and the Vie di Romans Pinot Noir.
Everything is to be accompanied with fresh bread and delicious cheeses.
More about Vie Di Romans estate:
They are located in the heart of the Isonzo sub-region of Friuli. The land and vine-growing heritage has been in the Gallo family for over a century but it was in 1978 when they bottled their first wines for the market.
More about Fattoria Mancini estate:
They have proudly been producing "Pinot Nero (Noir) and beyond" since 1861 in the northern Marche. Whilst they are Pinot Noir specialists they also produce a variety of exciting wines from Sangiovese, Albanella and Ancellotta.
Both estates are big supporters of minimalist intervention, or rather allowing the grapes to speak for themselves in the final wine. These wines are highly expressive and incredibly pure as well as being true to grape and region.
