Local Wild Food Challenge

Partnering with Lower Hutt City Council, Eastbourne will host its 12th annual Local Wild Food Challenge in William's Park, Days Bay.

A fun, interactive event for all the family.

Enter the Local Wild Food Challenge & be in to win some amazing prize packages all supported by our fab business sponsors.

Get a team of up to three people together or go solo, source some wild ingredients, prepare a dish & enter the Challenge!

Adult & Junior Categories - Judging is from 1 - 3pm.

As a spectator, enjoy a day of wild food demonstrations, local food stalls, wild food beer garden, traditional Maori Hangi cooking demo, Samoan Umu and live music from Garage Latino.

Our region is brimming with wild food and an abundance of natural ingredients, which makes it perfect to hold an event with the purpose of creating an awareness of precious natural resources and the environment.
