Improve your English skills and work towards gaining the NCEA (reading and writing) credits required for entry to a Tertiary institute; internal assessment; reading homework compulsory; must be fluent in English.

Please submit your application with a copy of your NZQA record of learning. Your NZQA record of can be obtained on line at https://secure.nzqa.govt.nz/for-learners/records/login.do

It is expected that students should complete one standard per term if they follow a work-plan and complete assigned homework as required. We can not guarantee student results, it is up to the student to acheive their results. Students requiring more than one standard should be prepared to attend more than one term.

On successful completion of the course, please allow for 10-15 working day before your results are processed.

You will need a minimum of 10 literacy credits and 10 numeracy credits to achieve each level of NCEA. You only need to gain these credits once. This means that once you have gained the credits, you have already met the literacy and numeracy requirements for NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3.

University Entrance (UE) is the minimum requirement to attend a New Zealand university. To qualify for UE, you will need all of the following:

- NCEA Level 3 - 14 credits in each of three approved subjects at Level 3.

- UE Literacy – 10 credits at Level 2 or above, made up of:

– 5 credits in reading
– 5 credits in writing.
- UE Numeracy – 10 credits at Level 1 or above

Check the NZQA website for the list of standards that meet these requirements.
