Celebrate National Poetry Day at the Open Mic Night!

Anyone of any age is welcome to read their poem before an appreciative and supportive audience.

The Open Mic Night is always a fun event with surprises, laughter and shared emotions.  

On the night poets who entered the 8th annual ‘If You’re a Poet, We Want to Know it’ poetry competition will be reading their poems. The winners will be announced and prizes awarded.

This year the poetry competition had the theme of ‘bubbles’. As always, poets were free to interpret this theme as they like. Many made poems about their reflections and experiences during the recent Covid-19 crisis.

On the night the book made from the entries in 'If you’re a poet we want to know it!' Poetry Competition will be available for sale.

Come along to read your poem or just enjoy listening to poets from your local area.
