Parents As Career Educator Seminar

This free seminar will assist parents and caregivers of Year 11-13 students with skills to help their teen get the information they need and evaluate their options.

The seminar will cover:
- Career pathways
- Supporting your teenager with career decision making
- Choosing tertiary options to suit your teen
- Communicating effectively with your teen
- Key questions to consider
- Top 10 skills/attributes sought by employers

UC Career Consultants will take you through a range of strategies on how you can support your teenager's career decisions.

Note: This seminar is not about study options at the University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha (UC) – it is designed to help you help your child consider ALL their options, whether this is work, university, polytechnic, an apprenticeship, private providers or other possibilities.
