Do you brush your dogs teeth? Have you ever looked in your cat's mouth?
Did you know it can save teeth, and also save on vet bills. Dental disease can also affect your pet's kidneys and heart.

This and many other topics and tips will be covered in the veterinarian’s workshop. Be empowered to spot problems early so that your pet can live the longest, happiest life.
Two evenings, two topics. Attending both is a complete overview of your pet’s health.

Who is it for?
For all animal lovers and all ages. From new to experienced owners, groomers, kennel/catteries, training vets and nurses.

What you will learn
- Learn how to examine your own pet in detail and find ailments sooner
- Know what’s 'normal' for your own pet so you can recognise when it's 'abnormal'.
- Know when it is a real emergency
- Save lives with basic first aid
- 5 things your veterinarian wishes pet parents knew.

This workshop is an observation tool to detect problems sooner, to minimize suffering, speed recovery of your pet and reduce your vet bills.

The evening will consist of a powerpoint presentation and a mid-way break will allow for a practical session and a refreshing tea or coffee. A friendly dog will visit for a hands-on demonstration.

Speaker:
Dr Christine Mackenzie of Picton Veterinary Clinic presents this easy to understand workshop.  This vet's perspective on pet health care is valuable knowledge for every pet owner to ensure they provide the BEST care for their deserving pet. Dr Mackenzie has seen many unfortunate choices made by owners over her 20 years of experience that have caused animals unnecessary suffering.
Dr Mackenzie‘s mission is to improve outcomes for pets and their people, and ultimately save lives and minimize unnecessary pain and illness experienced by animals.
In this illustrative and anecdotal set of workshops she touches on areas you may have never thought of, leaving you with a better understanding your pets and fresh knowledge that you will use for the rest of you life while caring for your animals.
