As we prepare to enter into the colder months of Hine Takurua (Winter) and prepare to enter the celestial corridor of Matariki, friends and whanāu are invited to come and join us for this full day immersive in designing and creating a range of Rongoā Māori products for both you and your family.

Following on from Rongoā Māori Level One tauira can deepen their knowledge, connection and understanding of Te Taiao by creating their own Rongoā.

Tauira will be divided into four groups and occupy their own Rongoā Māori workstation for the day to create

- A Rongoā Māori Oil for skin care
- A Rongoā Māori Oil for muscle and pain relief
- A customised Wairakau (tonic/decoction) for the winter months
- Creation of a set of panipani/balms

The workshop will also cover

- A review of tikanga, kawa, protocols and ethics of Rongoā Māori
- Harvesting, storage, and care of rakau for use
- Elemental uses of Rongoā Māori

Demonstrations in creating tinctures, creams and poultices will also be provided.

Tauira will take home a full range of everything they have created on the day as well as an extensive workbook.

Attendance at a Rongoā Māori Level One course is a prerequisite for attending this course.

** Please note - Due to the interactive nature of this workshop we can only take 20 students. If interest exceeds this amount we will schedule another Level 2 for July/August.

Investment:
$180 (15 spaces only)
$80 Unwaged/Student (5 spaces only)

As always a selection of high vibe dishes will be provided for lunch but in the true nature of whanaungatanga, we also ask participants to bring something to share with everyone.
