Current Poet Laureate David Eggleton emerged as part of the punk rock scene in the 1980s, performing alongside New Wave bands on the pub and cafe circuit. A South Auckland pathfinder, one of the OG's, an old-school rapper and Kiwi ranter, David Eggleton’s Pasifika heritage and passion for poetry performance result in poems which have a strong oral and rhythmic quality.
Steve Thomas was raised in Cardiff in Wales, downwind from a brewery and a pickle factory and the legend of Dylan Thomas. Educated at Brunel University in London, he performed back in the day on the same stage as the Moody Blues and Fairport Convention. He appears regularly as a performance poet and raconteur at many events, great and small.
Richard Wallis is a Dunedin-based musician and classical guitarist.
This event starts at 7pm prompt, so make sure you head along from 6pm for Yonder's world-famous snacks, burgers and cocktails!
