Let Nyx take you on a journey of sound and space. Where early evening experimentalism and abstract projections give way to duvet dream dronescape, ultra minimalism and ambient pop in your pyjamas with slippers on your feet listening, at the softest and warmest sound gig you've ever been to. It’s a pyjama party for sure. It’s a sensorially expansive deep listening journey to make with your inner 12 year old and all the rest of us as we expand together through the ears.
SINE RAVE is structured to promote a sense of journey into a state of attentive listening, and expansive appreciation of place and environment. Eliciting a social experience unlike the usual offerings. We open the experiential envelope with a guided meditation invocation that focuses on sound and place, we stop off mid-way and let loose on a pot-luck midnight feast then stretch out, drift off till the morning and Nyx lands us back down with a breakfast ceremony.
For the excitement of your eyes and your ears, Nyx hosts sonic and visual performers from Dunedin and afar.
You, the participant, are encouraged to arrive at 8pm and take part in the whole experience which will end at 8am. You are also encouraged to bring a sleeping bag, goodies for a feast and wear your pyjamas.
