Your complete Hip-Hop fix running for Four Nights - 3x Warm-Up's and a Grand Finale. The best local MC's, DJ's, Dancers and Graffiti Artists combine to bring you one hell of a show!

The highly acclaimed Ōtepoti Hip-Hop Hustle is back and bigger than ever! The format has now changed and instead of one singular showcase we have now developed a format with 3x 'Warm Up' nights leading up to the Thursday night Grand Finale. This event is a complete celebration of Hip-Hop culture, represented by multiple performances demonstrating the 'Four Elements': MC/Rapping, DJ/Scratching, Dance/Breaking and Graffiti Art. Dunedin's best Hip-Hop talent will be performing along with some exciting Special Guests.

The line up is smoking hot, featuring: Raiza Biza, Lil Dust, Rye Chi, Vorsce, PHX, AL XG, EYZ, TiMMy & ZExII, Optimist Mind, Christian Tucker // DJ Marze, Jaggers and DJ Dre // Minbin, Amy Jolly and hip- hop crews from Rasa School of Dance // Deow, Tepid, Claire Rye, Keios, Bongo, James Buckner, Willem Van Buskirk, PHX, Aidan Geraghty, Harry Dolan and Much More...

Ōtepoti Hip-Hop Hustle began as a small event, with the same kaupapa/purpose. This was called 'On The Fringes Of Society' and took place in Dunedin Fringe 2018. In the last Fringe Festival, with strong support from Dunedin Dream Brokerage, we saw the full vision come to life - Seeing all Four Elements performed in one showcase, providing an audio and visual feast for the audience. Through huge popularity and support from Creative NZ and Ara Toi at the DCC, we are able to bring 4x nights of ŌHHH in 2020.

In the last Dunedin Fringe Festival Awards, Ōtepoti Hip-Hop Hustle was nominated for 'Best Music', 'Best Visual Art' and 'Outstanding Emerging Talent' and won the 'Outstanding Emerging Talent' award. The feedback and reviews from this high energy show have been extremely positive and the community has sung praises for an event which celebrates the raw, gritty, positive and conscious nature of Hip-Hop.

There will be opportunities to win Spot Prizes kindly gifted by our Local Sponsors through crowd participation. This could be freestyling or flaunting your dance skills. Food and Drinks will also be available to purchase at the bar.
